Today Mommy let Jonathan paint the canvases to hang up in his room. At first she put one of Daddy’s working shirts on him, but it was too big. Then she put one of her painting shirts on him. It was, um, better?
Jonathan learned to draw faces today. One of these faces is Mike from Monsters Inc.. Another one is eating a cookie, so he tells us.
Jonthan was the cutest pirate in the city this evening.

Daddy came home early from work and we headed across the river for lunch at Hubers. We ate outside and the ducks were ganging up on us, trying to get our food. Mommy and the boys swang. We got ready to go out to pick strawberries and the rain started to fall. While we didn’t get to go picking, we did bring some fresh fruit home.

Mommy and the boys met Amy and the girls at the zoo today. They spent several hours there and were very tired when they got home. We grilled out this evening.

Not much to report today. Mommy and the boys played around the house. Jonathan came into our room at 3:30 AM and wanted one of to lay with him. Daddy spent an hour in Jonathan’s bed.

Tonight we had dinner with Paul & Bekah Roberts, one of Daddy’s friends from work. After dinner Daddy and Paul went to the basement to rebind Daddy’s well-worn Bible (in kangaroo skin!). Their son Reece kept Jonathan entertained with a Wii. On the way home, Jonathan told us that they played “the beating game” and “the guy counted one…two..three…” Daddy asked, “Do you mean the boxing game?” Jonathan replied, “Oh yeah, that’s it.”

Happy birthday, Mommy!
We went to church in the rain this morning, then we drove to Carrolton to meet Uncle John and Aunt Debbie for lunch. We had a great time; Mommy got lots of nice presents. Here’s a link to the “Birthday Boot Camp“ (scroll down) card Daddy and Jonathan picked out for her.

Daddy and Jonathan took Sunny to the vet this morning for his shots. Later we went to look at flowers for Mommy to plant in the front yard. This evening Daniel, Robyn and the boys came over for dinner and a “surprise” birthday cake for Mommy - Jonathan gave it away about six times before the party.
