It was a windy, chilly fall day when Mommy and Jonathan went to school this morning. Mommy worked on organizing baskets for the fall festival. Jonathan took a nap on his cot today.
When Daddy got home the boys cooked dinner on the grill. Jonathan led our prayer at dinner tonight: “Thank you for the world so sweet, thank you for the food we eat…” That’s all he rememebred. We were very proud of him. After dinner we read from Proverbs 1 and then then Jonathan and Daddy went downstairs for a sword fight. We read about Jonah at bedtime. Jonathan didn’t take long to fall asleep.

Daddy and Jonathan went to Sunday school, then we came home and ate the first batch of Mommy’s chili of the fall - yum! This afternoon we headed north to Cousin Lauren and Mark’s adoption party - welcome to the family Trey and Allie.
Jonathan had fun playing on the playground. He and daddy had a leaf fight. Uncle Bill’s puppy, Eddie, “tasted” Jonathan (he just wanted kisses). Jonathan discovered a bucket of candy corn and couldn’t chew it fast enough.

Jonathan woke us up at 7:20 - Daddy and he watched cartoons to give Mommy a break. Jonathan relived the joys of being a burrito baby with the sleeping bag. We played around the house all day and watched the great KY massacre on ESPN.

Only three months till Christmas! This morning Mommy and Jonathan went to Amy’s house to play with the girls and some other friends. Tonight we had a special treat: after dinner we introduced Jonathan to a sleeping bag - Daddy’s - and rolled it out in the floor to watch Puff the Magic Dragon (aka Pete’s Dragon - Jonathan knows Puff, not Pete). Jonathan had a great time, but got very wound up and had a hard time getting to sleep.

It was another rainy, dreary day. Mommy had a dentist’s appointment and Jonathan came along. He played with a toy Nemo that had a full set of teeth to brush and watched cartoons. He was very interested in how they cleaned Mommy’s teeth. He even came home with a Mater tooth brush!
