Jonathan didn’t sleep too well after last night’s adventure; he was up several times and obviously very tired, but he did sleep in a bit. He was fine and played around the house and helped Mommy with chores.

The day started off very normally. We went to church, came home for lunch, and took naps before heading out for dinner and back to church. After the evening service, Daddy, Mommy, and Jonathan went upstairs with Miss Courtney to pick up a computer, and when Jonathan got to the top of the stairs, he tripped and fell face-first into the floor. He cried a lot and had a good bump on his head, then Mommy noticed a little blood in his nose. A few minutes later he got sick on the floor, so we decided that it was better to be safe and headed to the kid’s hospital.
All the way there Jonathan was lauging, talking, and just being himself, so we were pretty sure everything was OK, but after three and a half hours of waiting and observation, the doctor said he was fine and we could head home. After we were sure he was OK, we snapped some pictures because he was just too darn cute. At least he got a popsicle for his troubles.
Lessons learned? First, God made little boys with hard foreheads for a reason. Second, even at its fastest, the emergency room is really slow. Third, there are a lot of adults who are in serious need of Stacy and Clinton’s wardrobe advice and a biblical perspective on parenting!

This morning was an early one. Jonathan woke up around 6 AM and was fussy, but laid back down. Mommy left at 7 AM to go set up for a yard sale in Amy’s neighborhood. Around 7:45, Daddy and Jonathan headed out to McDonald’s, picked up breakfast there, and went to meet Mommy. Jonathan had fun playing with Kat and Julia, but was ready for a nap by the time we got home. So was Daddy! Afterwards, he and Jonathan played outside for a long time to let Mommy get some rest. Here’s a cute picture of Jonathanand Kat that Amy snapped.
One Year Ago…
One year ago, Jonathan was shorter, couldn’t walk alone, and had a lot longer hair. Bur he was already enjoying “Saw Was!”

Mommy and Jonathan met Daddy for lunch today - it was fun for Daddy to get to see them in the middle of the day. This evening, Mommy and Jennifer went out to dinner with the girls, so Daddy and Jonathan headed out to Skyline Chili, and then to the park to slide and swing. He didn’t want to leave, but it was getting dark.

Only three months till Christmas! Jonathan was very sleepy when Daddy woke him up today. He took a good nap this afternoon. When he woke up, he tossed all of his “critters” out of his bed, then tried to pick up everything.

Jonathan slept in this morning, then he helped Mommy with the laundry and played around the house. After dinner, he and Daddy went outside to play. We’re working on not throwing the ball into the street. We went down to the house on the corner of the block and played on the swing and the slide, and after bath time we read a lot of The Hobbit. Jonathan snuggled up with Daddy for a few minutes.
