Those Harrod Boys

Jonathan started his day at 8:30 and played around the house till we headed over to the fire station to play this afternoon.  One of the parents of Mommy’s kindergarten students is a fire fighter, and he invited the class to the fire station for a graduation party.  Jonathan wasn’t interested in spraying the fire hose (but Daddy had fun!), but he did like the fire truck.  It was very warm outside, in the high 80s, so Jonathan was a very sweatty boy - he found his own way to cool off!  He wigged out during bath time because he was so tired and fell asleep about one minute after Daddy tucked him in.

Jonathan pulled the blanket covering his window down at some point during the night, so he was up when the sun started shining this morning, a little after 7 AM.  He and Daddy went to the grocery, and you know it’s a good day when you get a cherry Icee before 10 AM.  He had a good nap after lunch, and we went shopping after dinner.  Jonathan was a champ, but got pretty tired towards the end.  Mommy found him a pillow that fit his pillow case.  We had to roll him on to it, but he looks cute at least.

Happy birthday cousin April!  Daddy left for work very early this morning, and Mommy and Jonathan met Amy E. and the girls at the zoo.  They had fun playing with the birds and in the water park, but Jonathan wasn’t to sure about the water shooting all around him.  He didn’t stray too far from Mommy.   When Daddy got home, Jonathan was very happy to see him and very huggy.

Today Jonathan slept in until 9:45! He and Mommy had fun playing with the sidewalk chalk this afternoon. This evening the three of us went to church for a picnic. Jonathan had fun running around on the ballfield. Here’s a video of him boogieing to the Gilmore Girls theme song.

Jonathan woke up a little before 7:30 this morning.  Daddy had to leave for work, but Jonathan and Mommy had a fun morning.  This afternoon, after a long-fought battle, Jonathan finally took a nap.  He and Daddy went for a walk tonight.

Happy anniversary Mommy and Daddy!  Jonathan spent the afternoon with Daniel, Robyn, and Thomas so Mommy and Daddy could have a lunch date.

The three of us went to church this morning, and then out to lunch with Amy E. Jonathan took a 5-minute nap in the car on the way home, and then didn’t fall asleep again until nearly 3 this afternoon. Which wouldn’t have been bad, except for the fact that we were going to Daniel, Robyn, and Thomas’ house at 4! He was not happy when we woke him up, and cried nearly all the way to their house. But he settled down and enjoyed playing with Thomas, who drove him around in his Power Wheels Jeep. Oh to be able to see fifteen years down the road!
