We all went to church this morning. When we got home, Jonathan took a good nap. He and Daddy played outside for a while this afternoon. Jonathan really likes his Pooh snow shovel, and cried when Daddy put it up to go in. He really cried. Looks like it’s time for a yard rake for the boy. This evening he showed that he might be a budding vetrinarian - he checked Sunny’s ears!

Today’s going to be busy with trips to the library, Indiana, and church later tonight, so Daddy thought he’d update the blog early today. Mommy is making bread and muffins for Sunday school tomorrow, and Jonathan wanted to check on things as they cooked.

One Year Ago…
One year ago, Jonathan was much smaller, and was still drinking out of a bottle.

This evening the three of us met the Callihans out for dinner. Jonathan and Kat had fun entertaining each other. Amy has started a blog that you can find here. After his bath, Jonathan ran around the house with only his puppy dog towel to cover him!

Jonathan had fun in his bath tonight - he decided to lay down in the tub tonight, which is something new. But the funny thing was, he got a kick out of adding some extra bubbles to his bubble bath (the kind of bubbles little boys make naturally). He also finally started saying “Nana” tonight! He was climbing in a kitchen chair, and Daddy mentioned Papa, and Jonathan said (quite clearly), “Nana!”

Daddy had to leave for a meeting at school early this morning, and had to drive across the state for work. Mommy and Jonathan went to school themselves this morning too. Jonathan’s teacher, Ms. Norma, said he had a good day and was talking a lot, saying “socks” and “shoes.” He took a nap late this afternoon, and when Mommy got him up, he wasn’t quite awake!

[Edit: Daddy decided to add a a photo from one year ago - what a difference a year makes!]

Only nine months till Christmas! Jonathan woke up around 7:30 today and ate a bowl of cereal with Daddy and cuddled up in his chair to watch cartoons (for a few minutes anyway). He and Daddy played in the spare bedroom. Jonathan really likes running around and falling on the bed. It’s just when he gets the gleam in his eye and dashed toward the edge that we have to test our reflexes. We skipped his morning nap again, which made a very grouchy little boy, but he slept for about two hours after lunch, and then for another hour and a half later - which made for a very grouchy boy at dinner time! After he got a bath, he was in a better mood, and he and Daddy romped around on the couch for a while before bedtime.
